THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUNBLOCK AND SUNSCREEN

SUNBLOCK: Create a physical barrier on the skin’s surface to block the UV rays. Uses physical  ingredients such as Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide as a shielding layer on the skin and to reflect the UV rays. Provides immediate protection upon application. As the skin does not absorb the physical barrier, it is less likely to have allergic skin problems.

SUNSCREEN:  Uses various chemical active ingredients that penetrate the skin and absorb UV rays, converting them into heat that is released from the body. Will require 15-30 minutes to bind to skin. May require more frequent reapplication, especially after swimming or sweating. As the skin absorb the active ingredients, there is a risk of having adverse skin problems.
